Summer Sabbatical

A week from today I will no longer reside in Naranja County. I will be driving 6 hours northward, a small percentage of my belongings packed neatly inside the womb of my Jeep Cherokee, to spend my summer working at Hume Lake Christian Camps. My job is that of lowly camp barista. I'll be making coffee and smoothies and toasting bagels, etc. I'm e x t r e m e l y excited. can you not tell? I really am, though. I've missed living at Hume ever since i departed in August of 2004. It's about time I returned. I'm a little apprehensive, socially. I am not an extravert. Sometimes this provides me with minor problems. Maybe it's all inside my head. We'll see. I'm looking forward to this summer. I want to grow in so many ways. I'm taking the next 3 months to do just that. Grow. I'm tired of living the busy life. It's time to take a step back and appreciate what deserves to be appreciated.

In other news...i am substituting on Friday, for the first time. Substituting the choir accompanist. At my old high school. I am excited, because i will be paid. I am not excited because i haven't played the piano in over 3 weeks.

i think it's time for lunch. lunchtime it is.
