English Toffee

i think my favorite part of yesterday was during my last piano lesson, when i was teaching this 9-year-old black girl who is so funny to me. she's just kind of random i guess. well i had to give her a makeup lesson in addition to her normal lesson so she had a full hour with me. her attention span did not endure past 5 minutes, i assure you. i think we were able to successfully play through about 4 or 5 measures by the end of the lesson, at a slower tempo than even metronomes possess. anyways, we were talking about school and how she loves recess and then she looks at me and says . . . "Are you mexican?" I told her i was half and i guess that satisfied her, because the conversation moved on to something a little less controversial (i.e. math homework.) Oh well. I wasn't necessarily offended like I was the day Yannick told me I looked like the Mexican Mary Poppins because i was walking with an umbrella. For some reason that didn't exactly strum the C major chord of my soul.

I am in Panera right now. I came here so that I could relax and read and study. Alas, my dear mateys...it hasn't happened. And it won't. It's Saturday, there is no volume control dial on either of the girls sitting next to me and...well...i'm just not in the mood. Apparently there is a gospel choir performance thingamajiggy tonight that i kind of don't want to attend...but will anyways.

monday at 4pm i will be in the doctor's office (more likely the waiting room, actually) to see if i have tendinitis. i really hope i don't...or even if i do...i hope it's not too difficult to cure.

i think i'm going to apply for ISP again this year. i hear they are going to 23 different countries. CHELLO! i'm in. alright, it's time for me to go purchase some English toffee, my favorite. I could eat it by the bunches, I could eat it by the pound, i like the way it crunches, I like the way it sound . . . . . s.

bye.
