you're the charlie brownest.

could life be any sweeter, really? it's christmas break. i'm at home with my family. it's overcast and rainy outside. i'm making tea. and my mom and i are watching the Charlie Brown Christmas movie, while she's putting together our family's christmas cards. not to mention i just took two ibuprofen, and let's face it...i simply love medicine. I'm feeling a shade better than groovy.

last night was bizarre, to say the very least. i had to accompany for a church in la mirada, like previously mentioned. problem 1. i am a terrible accompanist and after last night, i decided that this was going to be my last time doing it ever until i'm at a place in life where i can sight read at performance level. problem 2. my hands were icy cold because it was in the sanctuary with no heater. 3. i couldn't hear the choir because there were only 9 people. 4. my music kept falling off the piano and under the pews.

i could really go on forever with my numbered problems, but i'm choosing blessing over curse (haha. i hope someone got that).

but back to what i was saying about never accompanying again. i decided last night that there are only two ways i will use my piano skills in the future.

1. teaching
2. my music

that's it. no more accompanying. no more playing music other people want me to play (except my senior recital). from now on, i will teach people how to play piano, and i will perform my own stuff. i don't want to waste my degree or love for music, but i don't want to get burnt out on it by making it my occupation. Make sense?

i've written way too much. so enjoy the pictures and have a merry tuesday.
