Messy Room, Messy Life

It's so true. If you ever want a glimpse into my mind, take a look at my room. If you see clothes piled on the floor, an unmade bed, dust all over my keyboard and bobby pins tossed around like confetti, then you would be correct in assuming that my mind does nothing but mirror the chaos.

Right this moment my room is close to spotless. The byproduct of having absolutely nothing else to do today, i assure you. However, if tomorrow i am not mentally organized and clear, i can guarantee that by evening, the spotlessness will be no more.

Why does this happen?

Because it should.

Because I shouldn't be allowed to compartmentalize my lack of discipline. I shouldn't be allowed to be disciplined when it comes to practicing piano, spending money or getting to work on time, but ridiculously lazy when it comes to working out, reading my Bible, or being sincere with people.

It keeps me in check.
