wicked little brats

Tonight i had quite the experience at the local Salvation Army. I went to purchase some videos (VHS) because i don't have a DVD player in my room and my laptop refuses to assist. I ended up with 11, for only $5 because the entire store was 50% off. Anyways - that is not the point of the story. The point of the story is that there were three obnoxiously loud, ill-behaved, rotten children running around the entire store, screaming, yelling, crying, whining, etc. And I am most definitely not racist but one can only stand hearing "Mira Mami! Mira!" or "A ma! A MAAAAA!!!!!" so many times before wanting to morph into another form of matter, like the Capri Sun commercial, and be gone. Granted, I shouldn't have stayed there for an hour and a half (i'm picky about movies and i had to look through every single one.) because by the end i felt frazzled, irritable and ready to pounce on the next person that dare get in my way. I remember walking by the purses and telling myself "Try to love them. They are people just like you and you should love them." But I disobeyed myself and kept on loathing. as i was checking out, still to the soundtrack of a child's scream in the key of F, I said to the cashier, "Those kids are so loud." She looked at me knowingly and as she handed me my bag she said "Please. Take them with you." I almost laughed but the thought was too chilling so I merely said "No thank you." And i bid her a good evening.

it's that time of night where any more time practicing at the piano will prove unfruitful, so i must be on my way. i haven't decided what movie to watch tonight but these are my options:

The Brave Little Toaster
Cool Runnings
Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Father of the Bride
Holiday Inn
Charlotte's Web
The Little Drummer Boy

I don't remember the rest. And yes, the pickings were slim and I do tend to prefer a cheery, lighthearted film as opposed to, well, say...something scary.

that is all. good night.

p.s. if you look at the word "thrift" for a really long time it looks weird and you begin to wonder why it's such a complicated word with so many consecutively harsh consonants.
