tomorrow my family and i will embark on an 8-day RV vacation in mammoth with some family friends. i am really looking forward to this next week - i went to barnes and noble today and purchased two books i hope will keep me occupado: the bell jar, and the catcher in the rye. two very well-known books i've never read. we won't really have any electricity at the campground, so i'm not bringing my ipod. i never really use it except for when i work out, but it'll be strange not having access to music at all. it's like Joshua all over again :)
we almost had to put our dog down today. her back left leg has been in so much pain, she hasn't walked for a few days. my parents said if the vet claimed the situation unfixable, we'd have to put her to sleep. i was preparing myself all day for the worst, and was so morose walking around the Tyler mall, thinking of life without my darling Casper. but thankfully my mom informed me she is fine, and is actually going to go to mammoth with us. :)
coldplay. one of my favorite bands of all time. for some reason their music has the tendency to make me feel sad, in a really strange way. in a way that makes me feel like i'm missing out on something. i can't really explain it.
tonight i came home as thirsty as could be. i opened the fridge and smiled at the ice cold pitcher of lemonade on the bottom shelf. poured it in a glass, drank about 80% of it and realized it tasted really woodsy and...poultryish. i looked in the fridge and noticed a platter of barbequed chicken, whose potent aroma had seriously dominated. blech. chicken lemonade? no merci.
