open your eyes, you can fly

Today has been glorious so far. I spent about 3 hours sitting in the backyard, painting a little box, listening to Imogen Heap and Lizz Wright - my two primary muses for the past few years. Both have completely contrasting styles, and yet both are smashing! In my eyes, they are the pinnacle of excellence. i also made iced tea today - my training at Hume N' Beans has finally paid off - and it was actually quite tasty. I typically do not enjoy cold tea but today i made an exception as I didn't really want to drink a steaming cup of herbs in Norco in the summertime. Sick.

So i have actually begun to check things off of my little goal-list posted about two blogs ago, i think. learning french slowly, but surely - my favorite phrase to pronounce thus far is: Est-ce qu'il y a quelqu'un qui parle anglais? (translation: does anyone here speak english?) and spending more time outside. i've been journaling. didn't go to bed until 3:30am last night but it was earlier than 4:30am, so I'm getting better :) I've researched various art schools around the globe and i have a little list of places i'm interested in. I taught myself how to string my guitar last night, and was so excited, but when i was attempting to loosen the D-string, i actually turned it the wrong way and ended up tightening it beyond it's limits and it snapped.

I wish rachmaninoff was still alive.
